Transforming the Treatment of Parkinson’s Disease
Our lead program, NDC-0524, is a specially designed antibody that targets a modified, pathologic form of a neuronal protein called alpha-synuclein. In people with Parkinson’s disease, this modified form is found at more than twice the level seen in healthy people and is believed to play an important role in the disease. The goal of NDC-0524 is to slow the progression of Parkinson’s disease, rather than simply treat its symptoms. Supported by strong preclinical efficacy and safety, NDC-0524 is ready to advance into a Phase 1/2a clinical study.
With more than 10 million people affected worldwide, a treatment that modifies the course of Parkinson’s disease has the potential to make a meaningful impact in the lives of patients by helping preserve movement, balance, and other daily functions for longer.
